Matthew D Kauffmann of MDKauffman Photography has been named one of 3% of professional photographers who have completed the requirements to be named a Certified Professional Photographer by the Professional Photographers of America.

Matthew earned this designation after completing an intensive program that measures his artistic and technical competence. Professional Photographers of America currently recognizes fewer than 2,500 CPPs nationwide. He is one of 3 in St. Clair County, a number that increases to only 5 including Clinton and Madison counties.

"I sought this certification to take myself to a higher standard. The examination process was grueling, but I know it sets my work apart from others in my industry. Additionally, I recognize that doctors, lawyers, and most other service providers have some form of certification; it is only right that photographers do the same."

Professional Photographers of America (PPA.com) is the leading body for certifying imaging professionals. CPPs must complete a written examination, finish an image evaluation, and adhere to a strict code of conduct. Certification must be renewed on a periodic basis, ensuring continued confidence in the professionalism of Certified Professional Photographers. For more information on certification, visit PPA.com/CPP.
